Cluster Foster Home Port Alfred

In april we went to the Assegaai Trails with the kids, foster mothers and staff of Child Welfare. The transport was arranged by Stenden University.It was an incredible day! We did several hikes and after that the kids could go for a swim in the lake. The benefits of the swimming lessons was proved. We ended this beautiful day by sharing a pizza at Guido's. the first time the kids had pizza in their entire life. In april zijn we met de kinderen en pleegmoeders

 Through the commitment of Mia and Rein Versluis, the couple who were voluntering last year and renovated the foster home during 4 weeks, we could buy new matrasses and matrass protectors. They did a great fundraising for it. Nemato Foundation further provided the cluster foster home with a washing machine, refrigerator and a micro wave.

 In October we went shopping with the kids and foster mothers. They all choosed their christmas and new years clothes, new shoes and a also a beautiful bag for the foster mothers.We wrapped it together and put it away for christmas eve. Also we went together to Guido's again for a lovely pizza. 

In October we got the news that the Cluster Foster Home will be shut down from 1-1-2019, due to financial problems ( like no support from Lotto)Child Welfare did their very best to replace all the children and to be sure that they are be looking after in a good way. Of course we will continue our support to the kids and foster mothers in the future.
